Bringing you DRT perfumery products for five years

In February 2014, Zanos was appointed by Les Derivés Résiniques & Terpéniques (DRT) as the exclusive UK agent and distributor for fragrances and related applications.

Based in Dax, France, DRT specialise in the development of sustainable products based on resin and turpentine. The process is extracted from the pine tree by tapping or processing from paper manufacturing.

Zanos and DRT and now celebrating five years of a well-established working relationship.

Terpenes are the main ingredients for many natural essences and essential oils and DRT offers an innovative range of terpene molecules for fragrances and detergents.

Dersantol® (also known as Sandalore) hit the headlines last year. Scientists at Manchester University discovered a chemical which is designed to mimic the smell of sandalwood also had the power to stimulate hair growth in humans.

Similarly other products with woody notes include Sanderol RH® (a round woody odour), Fixamber® (amber, spicy,  dry tobacco characteristics) and Florsantol® (sweet sandalwood with floral rosy, green notes).

In contrast Aquamate®, with a herbal fresh, earthy, fruity odour is part of the herbal family.  Along with Terpinyl Acetate which has herbal, lavender notes. Likewise Menthanyl Acetate brings a fruity, herbaceous, fresh piney odour to household fragrance compositions.

Floral types in the DRT range are the Geraniol qualities. Bringing a sweet floral and rosy odour in fine fragrances, body care and home care. Another member of the floral product family is Neryl Acetate with its floral and fruity notes.

Zanos director Julian Sarkar visited the DRT team at the beginning of the year to review the UK business and discuss the supply chain.

Our sales team are happy to help with any enquiries for DRT perfumery products in the UK.
