Jon Barber has been appointed the qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) for Zanos. Jon undertook a rigorous week of training and exams to achieve this certification for All Classes by Road.
Since 2001 organisations involved in the transport of dangerous goods must appoint a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser. For the reason the transport of dangerous goods is based on the classification, identification, packaging, marking and labelling of the substance or article.
In the UK, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) is the agent for The Department for Transport (DFT). As a result they offer the specific qualifications required to support transport services.
In order for Jon to achieve his DGSA certificate, Zanos offered support and guidance. Above all to comply with legal obligations the company is committed to be at the forefront of industry developments.
